Love Day Randoms

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!

If you don’t know by now, I love LOVE and everything about it so naturally, I love this day.

I’m cool if folks think this day is silly.

But if we can exchange gifts in the spirit of giving for Christmas and in celebration of our birthdays…

…What’s the harm in exchanging gifts to show appreciation and celebrate the people we love today?

I celebrate this day, relationship status be damned. *shrugs*

Spread love today and every day.

1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

P.S. – I am behind on my #FEBPHOTOADAY and I will be catching up tonight.  I took the pictures but didn’t upload from my memory card.

2012 Hair Update

This video explains exactly why I don’t have one

I laughed until I ‘bout cried; truth in comedy, I tell ya.

Seriously.  Since the new year I have trimmed my hair, flat ironed my hair, bought products, given away products, changed my regimen, thought about growing my hair long, cutting it off, mini twisting, braiding and loc’ing.

The only thing that has remained constant is: I HATE DOING MY HAIR!  And I’m glad I’m not the only one.

But if you’re into creative hairstyling (unlike me who always defaults to the twist-out) and need some inspiration, please go check out Mahogany Knots’ YouTube channel.  It has a wealth of information and is just as amusing as this video.

I'm Rocking the Red Pump...

...and so should you!

Join Awesomely Luvvie and The Red Pump Project for their 4th annual Rock the Red Pump™ bloggers campaign in recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

All you have to do is sign up here, dedicate a post to the important issue of HIV/AIDS and women on Friday, March 9, 2012, snap a photo in your favorite pair of red shoes and share it via Red Pump’s Facebook page, Twitter, and/or Tumblr; and spread the word!

From The Red Pump Project website:
HIV/AIDS disproportionately affects minority women in the United States.  According to the 2005 census, Black and Latina women represent 24% of all US women combined, but account for 82% of the estimated total of AIDS diagnoses for women in 2005.
Won't you join me?
